Hope all of you who are in the US and Canada have a wonderful holiday. Before I sign off, I would like to highlight a couple of good Urdu poetry related sites. One is for those who can read the Urdu script and one for those who prefer Devnagri over transliterated Urdu. The first is a very professionally done website which showcases not only Urdu poetry but other aspects of Urdu literature: http://www.eurdubazaar.com The second site is Suman Ghai's Shaayarii page located at http://www.geocities.com/sumankghai/ The poems here are basically the poems in the Urdu poetry Archive (http://www.urdupoetry.com) but in Devnagri. You will need to download and install the Susha font to read the poems in Devnagri. Directions for download and links are provided at the website. Suman is also working on an Urdu to Hindi dictionary in Devnagri. You can see the work in progress. And last but not the least, I am currently running a poll on how should Urdu poetry be presented on the Internet on my website. Please visit http://www.urdupoetry.com and vote for your preference. Have a good weekend! See you all on Monday! -------------------------------------------------
