Continuing our tribute to Qateel Shifai, here is another
Jagjit Singh gem from the album "A Milestone". I have
included the complete ghazal which has some ashaar not
sung by Jagjit Singh.
sadamaa to hai mujhe bhii ki tujh se judaa huu.N mai.n
lekin ye sochataa huu.N ki ab teraa kyaa huu.N mai.n
bikharaa pa.Daa hai tere hii ghar me.n teraa vajuud
bekaar mahafilo.n me.n tujhe Dhuu.NDhataa huu.N mai.n
mai.n Khud_kushii ke jurm kaa karataa huu.n aitaraaf
apane badan kii qabr me.n kab se ga.Daa huu.N mai.n
kis-kis kaa naam laa_uu.N zabaa.N par ki tere saath
har roz ek shaKhs nayaa dekhataa huu.N mai.n
naa jaane kis adaa se liyaa tuune mera naam
duniyaa samajh rahii hai ke sab kuchh teraa huu.N mai.n
le mere tajarubo.n se sabaq ai mere raqiib
do chaar saal umr me.n tujh se ba.Daa huu.N mai.n
jaagaa huaa zamiir vo aa_iinaa hai 'Qateel'
sone se pahale roz jise dekhataa huu.N mai.n
